An RPZ valve, or Reduced Pressure Zone device, is a backflow prevention device used residentially and commercially to prevent contaminated water from backing up into clean water supplies. Residentially, we generally find them on lawn sprinkler systems. They must be tested annually when turning your lawn sprinkler system on for the season. All test must be filed with the cities, each city has a filing fee.
At Residential Plumbing we do all the legwork for you. We test the valve, fill out the paperwork and file it online with the city. Licensed plumbers must be Cross Connection Control certified by the state in which they are licensed as well as having their testing equipment inspected and calibrated annually. All test must be performed by a licensed plumber with a CCCDI certification.
